Hi, I’m Emma
An award winning photographer based by the North Sea in Scarborough. I’m usually found somewhere coastal (preferably with an ice cream), or tucked away in a corner of the UK, photographing people simply going about their lives.

I’ve got a soft spot for local events, British summertime traditions, and all the gloriously kitschy charm of the great British seaside. No matter where I travel, I somehow always end up back by the sea.
I was honoured to be named one of Rangefinder’s 30 Rising Stars in 2021 and included in the UK’s Top 100 Wedding Photographers in 2020. I’ve won several Fearless Awards, and back in 2019 I spoke at the international SNAP photography festival.
My photos are all about real life—people doing their thing, places in all their often gaudy glory, and the way I see the world through my lens. I like to think they’re a little reminder to pause and notice the magic in the everyday.
